Today, students will:
- Editors will be editing all period.
- Staff writers will review and discuss student reflections : Something I will do better next time is not to generalize so much by getting more quotes from more people. Also I learned I need to get quotes from a variety of people and not just one specific group. It takes a lot of work in scheduling appointments with people and you can’t always interview the people you like because they may be busy.
- Everyone will view presentations from the business team.
- Staff writers will select one local business to present to.
- Madison and Helen will be working on layout.
- Begin to learn the differences between news writing and features writing.
Tonight’s homework is:
- Final edits due Friday.
- All graphics due Friday
- Staff writers: Design poll questions for the company you are targeting and create a first draft of your presentation, with placeholders for information you don’t have yet. (Feel free to use this as a model: STARBUCKS III)
- There will be a brief editorial meeting after school Friday.
