Lede – It’s very different from news articles. This is because it lures you in with curiosity rather than going straight to the point.

Structure – Instead of putting all the interesting and important facts FIRST, it puts them in the middle, as if rading further on will tell you everything you need to know if the event.

Objectivity – The voice is not plane and robotic, but rather ‘choosing sides’ and interesting.

Language – It’s rather colorful than the plan old boring language used in news articles.

Use of quotes – There really isn’t many quotes in the story. rather, the writer seems to know everything that happened and uses his own words to write the article.

The feature article is differnet from a news article because:
it states the news information but in a fun and perky way, incorporating partial opinion, but also it only focuses on one specific topic.

A feature article is different than a news article because in this feature article it tells more of a story where as in a news article its more reporting than story telling. The lede is different because in a news article the lede is telling the who, what, where, why, and how questions and in this article it started out with the beggining of the story instead of summing up the whole article in the lede like a news article does. Also the language is more creative in a feature article and there is less opinion.

Objectivity: The article seems to take both sides of the argument, occasionally supporting one sidenand then the other.
Lead: This article does not tell you the most important information first, and instead starts off with an anecdote.
    Language: seems normal
Use of Quotes” There are a lot of quotes in this story, and short stories about people’s personal experiences which make it interesting.

Lede – More relaxed with the transition, not as condensed as News stories.
Structure –Doesn’t necessarily follow the inverted pyramid structure.
Objectivity – Not as objective. More flexible with the authors bias.
Language –Not as precise and more emotional. You are able to really understand the authors point of view and what they believe.
Use of quotes – There seem to be less quotes that show opinions and more information simply stated

The lede is different because it does not include what a lede for an article should include, such as the who, what, when, where and why, how points. The lede does not really explain as a summary what the article is about. But it makes you curious about what the story is about.

The structure is different because in new writing, you want to start the article by telling and explaining the most important information and the facts about the story. The article is here to inform people, not to update them. The article begins with a telling part, like any other story.

The language is different because it is more verbally than in a news article and the language is more interesting.

The voice telling the story takes sides in this article and is not neutral.

There are quotes in this story, but when they are using a quoting someone, the quote is not put in its own paragraph.

    - This article is different from other featured news atricles because it gives you a sense of curiousity, like a story lede instead of getting straight to the point, laying down facts.
    - Also it stays to the subject yet goes further into the peoples storys and backrounds

-It is not a neutral voice, the writer takes sides.
