Mr. Weiss – Journalism I – Faculty Adviser

Final Review

November 6, 2008 · 24 Comments

I am off campus speaking to the Kiwanis Club.  Ms Sevillanos is in charge, and can write passes for only two students to be out of the room at a time, for reporting purposes.

I hope to be back before the end of the period, but just in case I don’t see you, have a great weekend!  Good luck completing you final drafts, reflections, and compiling your packets (due Monday).

Please Do Now:

  1. Answer as a comment to this post (Rewrite sentences that are not OK): ccf01162008_00000
  2. Remember, these rules apply 100% to news stories and about 90% to features stories.

Today, students will:

  1. Review the peer edits of J2 students.  Check your comment wall.  If no J2 student has left you a peer edit, send a message to Miriam Kolker and she will take care of it for you by the end of tonight.
  2. Do any outstanding reporting that needs to be completed for your final draft.
  3. Begin writing your final draft.
  4. Begin writing your reflection.

Tonight’s homework is:

  1. Full article packets are due Monday.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Packets should include, in the following order: Cover page, Reflection, Final Draft, J2 Peer Edit, Second Draft, J1 Peer Edit, First Draft, Notes and Quotes, Planner.
