A great grade…. an over achiever…. an average day. Several students had tests today, and unfortunately most did not study… most will not pass.

Benjamin Franklin not even finishing high school came to be one of the most well know inventors in America today. Albert Einstein having failed most of his tests is still considered the smartest man in the past 100 years. Bill gates was a college drop out. One thing that all the famous, well known , and respected people have in common is failure to perform well in high school. Unfortunately non of this applies to today, because it is not commendable or respectable to say you were a high school or college drop out, or that you performed poorly and were not alloud to continue your education.

Ten tips to do well in school, and perform well on tests. Are you ready to put in the time and effort?

    1. One word lead-
    Confiscate
This is the best word to describe what will happen to students if they use prohibited things in school.

    2. PUN-
Students items will get confiscated if they are caught using prohibited items in school.

    3. Description (event)-
Some of the reasons electronics are not allowed to be used on campus during school hours is because most of the time, people’s electronics get stolen and then the students want the teachers to stop their class and search all of the students. Another reason is because a lot of time students will leave class and use it. Students are not allowed to wear hats because it starts fights.

    1) Contrast: Though recent research has indicated the varied negative effects of caffeine, in poll of 115 Beach High students an overwhelming __% admitted that they consumed the chemical from at least one source.

    2) Then and Now: Sleep was once considered a necessary activity, serving to replenish and refresh, but members of our fast-paced society are attempting to replace the irreplaceable-for better or for worse- by substituting caffeine for sleep.

    3) Anecdotal Lead: The 7:28 bell is ringing and a student is running to the school gate, a back-pack, textbook, and thermos of coffee all in tow. She skids to a stop in front of the door, savoring one last sip of her steaming beverage before rushing into class- and she is not alone.

    1.Parody Lead”
“If you want to get the job done, give it to a busy person”
An elite group of students at MBSH find time to help their community, take 6 AP classes, participate in internships, and generate remarkable GPAs.

    2. Incredible.
Although balancing six AP classes, multiple clubs, and participating in internships seems like the work of a super hero to the average MBSH student, for an elite group of seniors it is just part of their daily agenda.

    3. Anecdotal:

The final bell rings as students shove their papers into bags and race to the parking lot to head home. The overwhelming stress of school vanishes as they lay down to take a nap or have a few hours of “chill” time. But for an elite group of seniors, this bell only signifies the end of their classes, now the rest of their daily activities begin.
