    1. The type of information in this article is about being green on halloween and how eating a lot of candy is not good for your health or the environment.
    2. The strengths of this kind of reporting are that it offers a lot of information and a person can learn a lot from this article. Other strengths are that this article offers a lot of alternatives for going green on halloween that people can resort to so they don’t create much waste.
    3. The weaknesses are that people could get disinterested very quickly because the majority of the article are just facts. Another weakness is that a lot of people think that halloween is a holiday where you are supposed to find the silliest costume you can find and then eat tons of candy and not care about how much you waste because it is halloween and you just want to enjoy it.

    1. Information on the “green”-ness of candy for halloween is found in the article. The piece is a features piece. The article states that in order to be a green candy lover, you must purchase organic candy as well as an organic pumpkin from a nearby farm.
    2. This reporting is strong because it combines two very popular topics, going green and the upcoming Halloween.
    3. This type of reporting is weak because it is fairly unimportant, and does not encapture the reader’s attention.

    1) The article includes information about how Halloween candy can be harmful to the environment with the support of numerical data.
    2) It takes a new look on Halloween, so the article itself is original.
    3) The reader of the article may look at it as comical instead of serious because the topic seems silly. Also, there are going to be a lot of people out there who disagree, despite the statistics, because most people love Halloween.

    1. This article offers information about being green on halloween and how we can help the environment from being so scary. For example, giving a trick-or-treater one candy instead of three or giving them dark chocolate instead of milk.
    2. The strengths of this reporting is that there is a sufficient amount of information, which allows the reader to know exactly what is going on. This article offers many oppurtunities to improve the environment and try and make the holiday of Halloween more green.
    3. The weaknesses of this reporting is that the reader can get bored very quickly because the speaker just offers many facts one after the other. This article depicts Halloween as a holiday to improve the environment when the readers would never expect Halloween to be like this.

    1. This article contains information about how Halloween isn’t a Green holiday and how someone can contribute to help make it Green.

    2. The strengths of this kind of reporting is that it offers information on how to make a really popular holiday Green, which is the new thing.

    3. The weaknesses of this kind of reporting is that Halloween is the sort of holiday that most people won’t care about being eco friendly. It is the one day in the year a person can go around their neighborhood dressed up silly asking random strangers for candy.

    2. I think that the strength of this reporting is that it provides the readers with alot of information that supports the central argument/idea. Not only does it give information but also suggestions for ways in being “green” and improving our environment. It also seems like the author of this article knows what he is talking about and has alot of good sources.
    3. I think that this article’s weakness is that it gives alot of facts, which would sometimes start boring the reader. I would also say that the topic is not so interesting.

    1) This article contains statistics about the environmental effects of Halloween, most of which the reporter probably had to obtain by speaking to a person.
    2) This kind of reporting offers a lot of information on the topic.
    3) It does not, however, contain quotes , which are sometimes more interesting.
