    1. Open a new window in Internet Explorer and login to wordpress.com using your username and password.
    2. Read the following article: http://www.miamiherald.com/news/miami_dade/beaches/story/652743.html
    3. Write the “Who, What, Where, When, Why and How” of this article as a comment to this post.  EXAMPLE: Who – Mr. Weiss; What- Journalism Class; Where – Room 356; When – Period 8; Why – To write the school newspaper; How – By learning how to use wordpress.com and learning how to write proper articles.
    4. Write a one sentence summary of the article in your comment (Do NOT use the phrase “This article is/was about…”)

  7. Share Name-A-Grams and profiles.

  2. Complete any outstanding information on your social network profile (or help your parents)

    Who – Miami Beach Public Schools; Where – Miami Beach; When – Wednesday, August 20th; Why – To review the first day of Miami Beach schools; How – By interviewing the principals, students, and parents what their points of view were on the first day.

    Although delayed due to Tropical Storm Fay, Miami Beach schools kicked off the school year with no problems on the first day.

    When: August 22, 2008 (1st day of school)
    Why: To inform about nervous new students
    How: By attending school on the first day and getting a feel for the new learning environment.

    Parents and students both are nervous to enter a new learning environment at their new schools on Miami Beach, which was delayed thanks to Tropical Storm Fay.

    one sentence summary: This school year started off on a good note. First day anxiety and chaos was not as bad as the teachers and students thought it would be and everything is going well. The changes in some schools curriculums have proved to be not drastic changes and easy to get used to. Students and teachers are both excited for the coming year.
