News – the facts should be used mostly & if there needs to be an opinion the facts should state it…not the writer .

Features – the facts should be used by using them to portray what you think of the thing you are featuring .
Opinion – should be all opinion & the facts should be used for supporting your opinion .
    A & E – should usee alot of opinion & little fact .
    Sports – idk =[

    :(

A news/Features/Sports should be based mainly on facts and interact with opinions comming from different perspectives. Opinions and AE pieces should be opinionated with facts to support them.

The author should use opinion and emphasize his poinht with facts.

You should even it out with a quote from the other side

    News,
    Features,
    Opinion,
    A & E,
    sports

To start with, news cannot put opinion neither in features this two sections facts is what always counts, but in the other hand in arts and entertainment and of course opinion need opinion

what journalist should do when they give them an opinion is I dont know I guess interview the person again and tell them not to give an opinion or get another qoute.

    1. News- Facts are to be written by the author and opinions are to be written through quotes
Features- Opinions should be written through quotes as well
Opinion- Opinions should obviously be written by the author but should also be written through quotes because quite frankly, no one really cares what you think; therefore you have to get in as many opinions as possible. Facts could be written through quotes as well.
A&E- Facts should be written through your own words and through the words of record labels???? Opinions should be written by the author in a nonchalant way.
Sports- Opinion through quotes, facts can also be through quotes.

2.The author should express fact in a very nonbiased way and should use their own opinion as expressed by someone else.

3.When you quote someone with a very strong opinion, you should get someone with an equally strong opinion that is the complete opposite of the 1st one. (??)

Not the best answers that i’ve ever given , but im guessing they will have to do.
    :)

-In a news piece fact is supposed to be the only thing used. A news writer can express his/her opinion by using other people’s quotes that portray their opinion. If a writer gets a strong quote they should try to get a quote from the opposing side

-In a features article the writer should give the facts only. If they want to show their opinion they can provide facts to stray the reader to have the same opinion.

    - In an opinion article a writer is supposed to use their opinion but also provide fact to support it. In this case a writer can use quotes or not use quotes but a strongly opiniated quote will better the article.

    - In an A&E article the writer must provide facts about the certain thing/event they are reviewing but most of it will include opinion. In this case a strong quote will also improve the article.

    - Finally in a sports article facts are supposed to be given but you can also include your own opinion.

A News writer should include opinion through quotes and only that. Facts can instead be laid out flatly, and in most cases, to support a quote.
Features writers should include poeple’s opinions on that certain person/thing that the article is featuring. Even though opinon articles are infact about an opinion of an event or phenomenon etc., the author’s opinion should be backed-up by a fact or statistic. A&E writers , depending on the article, can include teir opinion. If they are feautring a product, they should follow the features rules. If they are writing a review, they should be descriptive and compare the item reviewed to previous similar items and use facts and statistics to emphasize their point.
If the author gets a strongly opinionated quote, they should try to even out the article by quoting someone on the other side of the story.

News: In news you can NOT put your opinion in. However you can use someone’s quote to express what you wanted to say. Facts should be explained. When I get a strong opinion as a quote then I will put it in if it is relevant.
Opinion: Obviously you are allowed to put your opinion in, but you want to be professional. Also you really do need a lot of facts to support your opinion. When I get a strong quote I need to put a quote that contradicts it. In opinion you need to have two sides.
A&E: You are allowed to put your opinion in, but you need to have facts supporting it. The author needs evidence to his/her opinion that is where the acts come in.
Features: When you get facts it is up to you to put if the opinion is positive or negative. When you get a strong
Sports: You are allowed to put opinion in but not completely. Facts are extremely important as to how you express your opinion.

News: There should be none of the authors opinion blantly said in the news article. If the author has an opinion is should be expressed through a quote from someone else.

Features: In features, there should be pure fact about the club or organization or person and any opinion should be expressed through the questions you ask the person or leader of the group.

Opinion: This is, like its name, an opinion piece. Your opinion is 80 % and facts should support the rest of the 20%

A&E: Opinion is in most of the article but should be from great familiarity of the subject.

Sports: Articles should be supported with fact and the only opinion should be from intervieewees.

When you quote someone with a strong opinion you should support it with facts from your article.

    1. Explain in your own words how fact and opinion are supposed to interact in each of the following journalistic styles: News, Features, Opinion, A & E, Sports.
Opinion interacts in a news article by having people’s opinions to support certain facts and possibly to defend an authors point of view
In a features article you can use opinion to express what you think about a person but later expressing your opinion through statistical/verbal facts
In an opinion article you should not actually use pure opinion…you need someone else’s opinion as backup or you can simply force positive opinions into your article and isolate negative opinions that would go against your opinion…..?
In A&E you can use opinion to express an overall result of an event or how people’s expectations were met/not met or if everything was fun…etc…
In sports opinions can be used to explain if a team is good, performance was adequate, or if a team was horrible, losing streak etc..

    2. How should the author express fact and use opinion?
Opinions can be used to open a topic and then explained through fact

    3. What should a journalist do when you quote someone with a strong opinion?
    Use it

News: is very important to be passive or else you’ll sound unprofessional
Features: it’s about doing something like new so putting opinion can contort
Opinion: you have to put your opinion but sublimely
A&E: you should but your opinion in so people know your feelings

    2. How should the author express fact and use opinion?
It’s essential that the author be passive but sublimely opinioned using other quotes

    3. What should a journalist do when you quote someone with a strong opinion?
Use it. IT will make your article stronger

    1. Explain in your own words how fact and opinion are supposed to interact in each of the following journalistic styles: News, Features, Opinion, A & E, Sports.
News: Opinion is not really used since in news is mostly just news and some opinion to show the different sides of the story.
Features: In features you usually use opinions a lot since you are informing and reporting the people’s life and their stories since the article is just based on the person that is featured.
Opinion: It’s hard to level out the use of opinion and facts since the article is based in opinion but then you have to show facts to support the opinion
    A & E: I think is the hardest th
