Small Thank You Note

December 20, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I would just like to thank everyone for respecting the new “Leave Me a Note” policy. It has REALLY helped my organizing of what article goes where and who they belong to. I can’t do it without you guys. Don’t forget about deadlines your editors give you and study for midterms!!!! Keep up the good work!

Your Editor-in-Chief,

Alex

PS

Have a WONDERFUL Winter Break!!!! =D

Organizing our Dysfunctionality

December 11, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Hello staff writers. I have good news for everyone who has had issues in the past with communication between yourselves and your editors. From now on, my page is divided into separate Leave Me a Note pages for EACH SECTION. If you are a sports writer, leave me a note in my sports page. If you are a features writer, leave me a note in my features section…etc. Please do not leave a note in a section you do not write for. Please! These individuals are to organize and make it easier for me to filter what I receive from you guys. So the procedure form now on will be:

 Editor assigns you a story

Your first draft is due (let me, as well as your editor know when and where it is posted [hopefully on the due date])

Editor edits

Your write your second draft (same process, let me know as well as your editor)

Editor edits

Write your third draft (let me and you editor know)

From there on, the story is out of your hands! Finito! Leave it up to JII from this point.

Please don’t forget to make it extremely clear in your post title AND in your note to me and your editor which draft is being posted.
