Presentations

The Pep Rally is Tuesday so we are going to improvise a bit with regards to the presentation schedule.  Today we will work on the people scheduled for December 4, and then we will proceed normally.

Please Do Now:

1. Read the following blog posts by Wendy (http://wendyg2011.wordpress.com/2007/11/28/random-student-2nd-draft/) and Carlos (http://carlosm2010.wordpress.com/2007/11/20/reflection/). 
2. Wendy’s piece is a draft of something we are calling “Everyone has a story.”  It will profile a random student and try to show that regular, everyday Beach kids have interesting, exciting lives.
3. Carlos’ piece is his reflection on the process behind writing an article on the Quill and Scroll Recycling program.
4. Come up with ONE general piece of advice and THREE specific recommendations for Wendy, and ONE general pice of advice and THREE specific recommendations for Carlos.  Submit your advice as comments to their individual blog posts. 

 Today, students will: 

1. Workshop / Peer Review selected students’ work.
2. Check their “Leave me a Note” page to correspond with section editors. 
3. Continue work on the articles you will be submitting for your portfolio. 

Tonight’s homework is:

1. Follow the instructions of your section editor.
2. Brainstorm interview questions for Tuesday’s Pep Rally.
