Summery: With enrollment number declining and budgets shrinking Miami Dade County may have to close some of the public schools. As immigration gets tighter, the competition of charter schools and the increased cost of living has really impacted on Dade County’s number of students.

How: More parents are enrolling children in charter schools and elementary schools use up about a million dollars a year and they are half empty.
Summary:
Basically, because more and more parents are enrolling their kids into charter schools , elementary schools are half empty (enrollment is declining and so is the budget) So many Dade schools are closing and the superintendent is trying to convert some schools into adult education centers or recreation centers.
